Senior Quantity Surveyor
A Senior Quantity Surveyor with over 10 years of post-graduate experience is required to work on the pre and post-contract sides on complex construction projects for a leading Dubai-based consultancy.

Project Details
The successful candidate will be based at the client’s office, with on-site working involving prestigious large-scale aviation construction projects as well as redevelopment and residential projects.
This is a full-time, permanent position, which is an ideal opportunity for relocation, as visa sponsorship can be provided for successful candidates.
Suitable candidates should have MRICS status or MRICS to be awarded within a few months or so.
Responsibilities and Duties
Your duties as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with this QS / cost consultancy company will focus on pre and post contract work for Dubai Airport and will likely to include a combination of:
- Undertaking Value Engineering and Cost control techniques on a range of construction contracts
- Administering FIDIC conditions of contract and international methods of measurement.
- Reviewing of the all the Correspondence, handle claims, prepare the final account.
- Attending meetings, drafting the MOM and Rate and measurement dispute handling, AVV, quotation review, Value Engineering etc.
- Supervision of and preparation of cost plans
- Supervision of and management of tender evaluation & assessment work
- Preparation of recommendations for award of contractor packages
- Managing, checking and preparing and presenting cash flow & cost management advice to clients
- Interpreting and offering advice on contract
- Ensuring contractual notices and client entitlements are properly administered
- Management of and preparation of contractor’s payment recommendations
- Checking the measuring & valuing variations
- Taking responsibility for the agreement of final accounts
- Management of several staff members, both Quantity Surveyors and Measurement Technicians
Desired Skills and Experience
- Some exposure to projects within the aviation sector is required.
- Experience in high-rise residential would also be useful
- Middle East experience would be ideal
- Candidates must have experience with the measurements of bills of quantities, cost planning, and value engineering.
- Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to manage others
- Other qualifications in arbitration, claims etc. are useful
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Candidates must hold a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying from a UK or internationally recognised university, with a special preference for the module on measurement.
- Due to the client’s requirements for approval onto the project, candidates must also have a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience in quantity surveying following the successful completion of their QS degree. Candidates with less than 10 years of post-graduate experience will not be considered.
- Candidates must also be MRICS qualified or working towards this.

Additional Benefits Package and Incentives
- Up to 40k AED per month all in salary (to include basic salary, family allowance, transport allowance and airfare)
