Quantity Surveyor

Project Details
Quantity Surveyor will be working on target cost and D&B design and build contracts and previous experience in administering both target cost and D&B design and build contracts either in Canada or in the UK is highly beneficial for this role.
Project portfolio includes a range of exciting and challenging transportation, infrastructure and rail projects In Ontario, Calgary and New York.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide the full range of Quantity Surveying duties through to completion.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of service delivery to employers clients
- Negotiating contracts
- Provide post-contract Quantity Surveying services.
- Supporting the development of effective commercial strategies
- Prepare Estimates/Cost Plans/Tender Documents/Tender Reports
- Work collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery.
- Managing client relationships and service delivery on a project-specific basis, with senior management.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5 to 15 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager or in a similar position
- Previous experience working on major projects
- Strong commercial experience in post-contract and change control management
- Previous experience on design and build projects would be ideal
- Great interpersonal skills, an ability to communicate effectively
- Client-facing skills
- Able to negotiable
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to organise and prioritize work effectively.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Commercial Management or Project Controls or equivalent is desirable.
- Professional qualifications obtained such as PQS or MRICS would be beneficial
