Quantity Surveyor
Quantity Surveyor is required to join a consultancy business to work on high-rise luxury branded residence in Dubai.
This role is suitable for Quantity Surveyor candidates with experience in the Middle East Region. Applications from candidates with experience working on high-rise buildings are highly welcome.
Suitable candidate should have a Quantity Surveying degree from a recognised University or Corporate Membership of an internationally recognised Quantity Surveying institution.
Project Details
This is a post-contract role, working with a main contractor on-site. The project is a 2-tower high-rise building, which is a luxury branded residence worth 490mil UAE. It is a 24-month project concluding in February next year.
Their client for this project is a leading real estate developer in Dubai.
Due to the nature of the role previous experience in the Middle East is required.
The working week is Monday to Friday 48 hours a week.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Interim payment applications in accordance with the terms of the contract and actual work progress.
- Preparing and compiling variation claim documents
- Cost reporting, controlling & monitoring, Budget updating.
- Project Cash flow and periodic assessments of anticipated final cost and reporting.
- Preparing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports, to monitor Budget Cost
- Prepare & Compile Final Accounts Payment applications
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
- Attendance and representation at commercial meetings
- Control project scope to meet project objectives to enhance project deliverables and key work activities.
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project
Desired Skills and Experience
- 7 years of relevant Quantity Surveyor experience either from consultancy or main contractor background
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the Middle East region, 3 years minimum
- 5 years of experience working on high-rise projects would be ideal
- Knowledge of pre- and post-contract administration.
- Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications.
- Candidates must have strong client-facing skills
- Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
- Strong communication skills as well as excellent verbal and written English
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- A BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying from a recognised university is essential.
- Corporate Membership of an internationally recognised Quantity Surveying institution
