UK Construction Jobs and outlook for 2023

Posted by Daria Tkach, Senior Recruitment Consultant on Thursday, January 19, 2023

At this moment in time in many countries, including the UK and Canada construction market is facing challenges, as economic conditions push up costs. Facilities Management Journal writes that Construction Output is predicted to fall ‘significantly’ in 2023. In 2022 the war in Ukraine brought complications, as well as instability from the changing of political leaders in the UK. We are still experiencing high energy prices and inflation and further rises in interest rates. The construction industry is continuing to operate, although of course, it will be subject to many different economic factors this year.

There are however many positive things to look forward to in 2023, and the Maxim Recruitment team is very busy recruiting for a number of our long-term clients.  Our construction recruitment services remain in high demand both in areas in the UK in London, the Midlands and Leicestershire, but also in Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, and in our Asia business region in Hong Kong.

While the vacancies I am working on change daily, I thought it might be of interest to present some key job roles that I am currently working on and explain why they are so exciting to me and to the candidates that I will be recruiting into these roles.
