Setting the scene for the UK Adjudicators 2022 London Adjudication & Arbitration Conference

Posted by Steve Thomas , Construction Recruitment Director, UK & Canada on Monday, October 24, 2022

I am excited to be attending the UK Adjudicators Conference 2022 on Thursday 27th October 2022, which will be the 5th of its kind.  It is great that conferences such as this have resumed and that experts and professionals working in this sector of the industry can both learn and network together again.

As Director of the Maxim Recruitment Quantum Delay Claims and Dispute business, I am looking forward to meeting many familiar faces again, as well as getting to chat with many new contacts attending the various sessions throughout the day.

UK Adjudicators describes itself as the second largest adjudicator nominating body in the UK so we can expect many of the world's best adjudicators, arbitrators, dispute board members, solicitors, barristers, lawyers, academics, construction professionals, clients, users, expert witnesses and early career students and Quantity Surveyors to be in attendance on the day.

During the day as the event page describes there will be 6 different panels assembled to discuss a range of topics including:

  • Why Adjudicate First?
  • Why do Dispute Boards Work?
  • Issues in Tribunals
  • Views on International Arbitration
  • Needed Improvements in Arbitration

The long list of qualified speakers populating the Panels will surely allow a forensic approach to each topic and a great deal of insight to be shared.

The specialist team at Maxim that covers construction dispute resolution jobs and recruitment, offers a specialist service to leading specialist construction dispute employers providing a range of services from project reviews, commercial advice, distressed project recovery, through to contract administration, and delay and quantum claims and expert advice as well as dispute resolution work within the specialist areas of litigation, arbitration and adjudication.

As a part of our recruitment work for our live and prospective claims and dispute clients, we are always on the active lookout for jobseekers and new candidates already working within claims and disputes in a quantum or delay capacity, or with project review and recovery capabilities.  We offer expert help & guidance for candidates seeking to enter the specialist claims and disputes space from their current job role which may be a Quantity Surveyor, Engineer, Planner or Project Manager in a job role on complex projects either in the UK or internationally.

You will be pleased to hear that after the six different panel sessions, there will be a hard earned opportunity for drinks and networking in the evening, with no lack of stimulus for further conversation and discussion.

Maxim Recruitment has been associated with the Quantity Surveying, Engineering, and the construction Claims & Dispute sectors for almost 20 years, so this conference is a great chance to network and build relationships with the key players in the industry.
