Maxim Recruitment Launches New Claims and Disputes LinkedIn Group

Posted by Stuart Hackett Senior Recruitment Consultant on Tuesday, April 20, 2021

Over the years I’ve become quite passionate about not only finding the right jobs for my candidates with specialist claims and expert witness consultancies, but also giving valuable career advice relating to this sector.

It’s for that reason, we are excited to announce the launch of a new Maxim group on LinkedIn, dedicated to construction professionals interested in learning more about making the move into claims and disputes.

The aim of this group will be to interact with likeminded professionals and members of the Maxim Recruitment team to discuss topics that candidates wishing to make the move into claims and disputes will find most interesting and helpful.

Members of the group will have access to regular content relating to the claims and disputes sector, including:

  • Articles from the Maxim team and industry experts
  • Blogs
  • Vacancies
  • Career advice
  • Discussions
  • Polls
  • Salary, package and bonus information
  • And much more

Much of the above will be specifically dedicated to candidates in their early career considering a move into the sector or preparing to make a move in the future.

Why we hope this group will be useful:

We are regularly approached by early career construction professionals from Quantity Surveying, Planning, Engineering and Project Management backgrounds, who want to make a move into claims and disputes work and to take up junior to intermediate roles in this niche specialist sector.

Transitioning from a traditional construction role into a specialist claims and disputes role can be a daunting prospect, and if I am honest; many candidates who approach me about making this transition are not well prepared for making the move.

Most frequently candidates ask about the:

  • Salaries on offer
  • Packages and bonuses available
  • What the day-to-day role requires in terms or previous experience
  • What the duties and expectations of claims and dispute employers are
  • What the most desirable and useful qualifications to have
  • Details about working cultures and practices

It’s for this reason, myself and Maxim Recruitment dedicate time every month to produce regular, high quality, easy-to-read career advice in the shape of blogs and articles for prospective candidates considering a move into a specialist claims and disputes related role.

Industry feedback on the usefulness of our blogs and articles has been extremely positive, especially amongst candidates in their early careers and craving information relating to the claims and disputes sector.

With this new early career Claims and Dispute group, we hope to be able to connect likeminded professionals who are developing a passion for claims and disputes to great career advice so that great things can happen!!
