Hear from our new Graduate Recruitment Consultant - Daria Tkach

I am delighted to have recently joined Maxim Recruitment – a leading independent specialist recruitment consultancy, and specialists in recruiting for the construction industry.

My main job role as a Graduate Recruitment Consultant will be to be in touch with premium construction professionals and work to find them a match with some of the very best permanent construction jobs available in Leicester, Leicestershire, the Midlands, across the UK and around the world!  

One of the main things which attracted me to join Maxim Recruitment, is that this recruitment business not only finds jobs for construction professionals in the UK, but we also recruit internationally for leading construction clients around the world.  Currently our market leading Maxim Recruitment website is advertising construction jobs for both early career and managerial level construction vacancies in Canada, Hong Kong and Dubai, as well as in other international locations such as Sydney, Australia.

Additionally, the spectrum of the job roles available for our construction candidates is very broad. Maxim Recruitment works with a variety of construction skill sets including quantity surveying & cost management, project management, estimating, quantum claims consultants and delay analysts to name just a few.

What I am looking forward to the most is the autonomy and flexibility this recruitment consultant job role offers, while getting mentorship and guidance from a very successful, experienced team along the way.

The team around me is very welcoming and easily accessible.  On a daily basis I work very closely with the UK Director Steve Thomas who has over 23 years of construction industry recruitment and extensive management experience.  I am certainly already benefiting from this experience as a Graduate Recruitment Consultant and am learning both the role of recruitment consultant and the construction industry very fast.

Senior Recruitment Consultant Stuart Hackett is also someone I have already come to rely on to seek advice and guidance from, as he has an expert knowledge with over 13 years’ experience recruiting in the construction industry.  While he is a specialist in the construction claims and disputes sector, his wealth of experience is incredibly helpful. I am feeling extremely lucky to be closely surrounded by people with such experience and commitment to the Maxim brand that has such a good reputation in the construction industry both in the UK and internationally.  

Finally, Richard Poulter seems to be available night and day in the Maxim Hong Kong office which covers Asia and Australia – a team with breadth and depth no doubt!

Clearly working alongside such an experienced team of recruitment professionals that have so many years of success recruiting in the construction industry will give me a great chance of being able to help my candidates into exciting job roles that will add value and progress their careers.
