It is estimated that the £20bn Crossrail scheme would bring in just under 20,000 direct jobs at peak construction, and well over 1,000 permanent jobs once completed. This is more exciting news for Quantity Surveyors and all construction professionals

Hong Kong Stadium is the main sports venue in Hong Kong. The stadium was redeveloped from the old Government Stadium and reopened in 1994. The stadium has a maximum seating capacity of 40,000 and regularly hosts international football matches and other large sporting events such as the ever popular Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament. But now there are plans to develop an even larger state of the art Sports stadium and complex in Hong Kong, Kai Tak Sports Stadium.

The ‘Museum of the Future’, a title that would befit Dubai itself, was announced in fittingly contemporary fashion by his highness, via his official Twitter account. Following a string of tweets he concluded that the ‘Museum of the Future is a first step of many to come, marking the beginning of great achievements.’ The Museum’s function is to showcase the world’s latest inventions, with workshops and courses also running, acting as a stage for the most promising inventors and entrepreneurs.
