Associate Quantity Surveyor

Construction careers and prospects are growing in Macau as an excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly capable, self sufficient Associate Quantity Surveyor to join a leading international cost management practice to provide cost and commercial management support and advice on multiple projects based in Macau.  

Project Details

Reporting to the regional director, you will be based in our client's HQ in Macau and manage the delivery of multiple cost management commissions, providing cost management and commercial management support with your team to multiple clients.  

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage the day to day operations of the team under your direct control.
• Support the Director or Deputy Director to whom you report on a day to day basis to ensure provision of services adheres to Consultancy Agreement and to Client’s satisfaction.
• Manage team resources to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Brief, direct and supervise project personnel under your direct control.
• Develop business opportunities with existing clients and similar level counterparts in related disciplines of other consultants.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Macau ID holder is required.
• 15 years post-qualification practical experience in roles directly related to the provision of professional quantity surveying services preferably on major Macau projects.
• Solid working experience in handling Government projects in Macau or HK. 
• Fully experienced in the provision of core QS services from feasibility, concept through to finalization of accounts and defects liability period administration.
• Fully experienced in the use of all major forms of contract including NEC.
• Possess excellent communication skill and strong interpersonal skill and able to interact effectively with external parties.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree majoring in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines.
• Member of HKIS and / or RICS and Registered Professional Surveyor (RPS).
