Assistant Quantity Surveyor
An Exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established Chartered Cost consultancy based in London.

It required that Quantity Surveyor candidates come from a PQS background, with aspirations to achieve Chartered status with RICS.
Project Details
Projects are typically long-term engagements, often secured through negotiated contracts or service frameworks. Project work comprises of live housing and residential projects, healthcare, industrial and commercial/office projects across UK.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be able to benefit from a proven track record of internal promotion and a robust APC training program.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting with all pre-contract and post-contract surveying services on a range of construction projects
- Actively looking to take on additional responsibility and able to stand in for the Project QS or Senior QS when they are unavailable, and to start running and leading on your own projects with some supervision.
- Taking responsibility for successfully completing all allocated QS and PM tasks to a high degree of accuracy.
- Assisting with Employer’s Agent services on Design and Build projects and assuming the principal EA role where possible.
- Assisting on multiple projects simultaneously and developing excellent time management strategies.
- Treating all clients to exceptional level of service
- Undertaking Continuing Professional Development every year.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience from a consultancy background
- Proficiency in measurement, ideally using CostX Measurement Software
- Good understanding of construction technology
- Strategically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Driving licence and own car. Willingness to travel to sites across the UK as required
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management or a related field.
- Working towards MRICS, or a commitment to achieve Chartered status within 3 years of starting at this company.
