Site Manager
A Site Manager is required to join a contracting company delivering fit out and cut and carve projects in the home counties and London.
Applicants with previous cut and carve experience are highly desired.
Project Details
The successful Site Manager candidate will be responsible for monitoring build costs and project progress, maintaining quality control checks, liaising with clients and reporting on progress.
Projects will largely fit out projects, across different sectors including commercial, residential and education. There will be particular focus towards cut and carve work and stair core.
The hiring company is looking for candidates to carry out the role on a permanent PAYE basis.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Site Manager your duties will be:
- Managing the programming for the project including provision of regular programme updates, identifying where the project is on time, ahead or behind programme. Coordination with Site, Commercial and Planning Teams.
- Maintaining the Health and Safety procedures on site in line with the company Health and Safety Policy.
- Preparing formal and informal reports for progress meetings at the agreed intervals in the required standard.
- Day to day management of sub contractor’s performance on site and issuing relevant information to them under instruction as is required to undertake their works diligently under the Contract.
- Coordinating with the Client & Project Building Management team.
- Ensuring quality construction standards and use of proper construction techniques.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Ideally 10 years’ experience with fit out, stair core and cut and curve projects
- Candidates coming from a sub-contractor background relating to structural works would be of interest.
- Previous experience of liaising with tier 1 contractors
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- A great work ethic and enthusiasm towards developing your career
- Ability to effectively manage time to meet deadlines
- Good organisation skills to be able to organise and prioritise your workload
- Ability to work under pressure
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- CSCS Card – Essential
- SSSTS/SMSTS – Desirable
