Site Engineer

Our client, a well established multi-discipline construction company in Hong Kong, is working in the power and energy sector on an exciting power project which will ultimately improve air quality and environmental performance in Hong Kong. They are looking for an energetic Site Engineer to manage the construction team on site.
Project Details
You will be working on Black Point Power Station. The project involves the design, construction and installation of a combined cycle gas turbine which will replace the current coal fired power unit with the ultimate aim of providing a cleaner source of electricity for Hong Kong.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Managing daily operations of the construction team, including arranging the schedule for construction & maintenance services and supervising the engineers and technicians’ work progress.
- Managing the delivery of the works specification and dealing with the client’s requirements and expectations.
- Communicating with and coordinating the project teams, sub-contractor, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Providing on-site support for different projects if necessary.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3 years of experience as an Engineer or in a supervisor position.
- Solid experience with various plant construction or maintenance projects.
- Must be independent, responsible, self-motivated, well-organised, and able to work under pressure.
- Good communication and project management skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese.
- Good computer skills: MS office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word), database management, and EDMS.
- Experience with power plant projects desired but not essential.
- Candidates with less experience and lower qualifications may be considered for an Assistant Engineer role
- Assistant Engineer shall assist the Engineer on site work supervision
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree in relevant construction or engineering related discipline
