Senior Quantity Surveyor
A genuinely exciting opportunity exists for an outstanding Senior Quantity Surveyor to head up a large €60m mixed use development for an Irish Consultancy working in Montenegro.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior QS looking to enhance their career in an overseas role. This is a Full Time role to be based in a seafront location in Montenegro, on a major high-end re-development scheme, with a total value in excess of €700m.
No previous overseas experience is required, therefore this will be a great step into the International construction industry for a highly professional Consultancy. You will have the opportunity to gain some fantastic experience working on an exciting project that which will see you involved across multiple sectors of the construction industry.
Montenegro is a low tax environment with taxes ranging between 9% - 11%.
Project Details
The project is a major, high-end regeneration scheme based in a pleasant seafront location in Montenegro. This project will be carried out in phases and the total value is likely to be in excess of €700m and take circa 10 years to complete.
Your specific role on the project will be to work on a single phase worth circa €70m and an estimated duration of 3 year’s. This includes but is not limited to residential dwellings, a 5* hotel and associated amenities.
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will operate as the company’s lone and lead Quantity Surveyor on the ground, and will work out of the clients office. You will have support from the businesses Head Office, but you will work on the ground, day-to-day in Montenegro performing post contract cost management duties.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Ideally candidates will come from a PQS background or have at least some experience working for a reputable PQS
- Client focussed with strong client relationship management skills
- Relevant project experience on large scale projects in the built environment is desired
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly IT literate with experience of using core Microsoft Office programs
- Enthusiastic “Can do” attitude is essential
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Qualified to a Degree level or similar equivalent in a relevant subject is essential
- Membership of a professional body such as the RICS is desired

Circa €60k - €70k p.a Basic Salary (Taxed between 9% - 11%)
+ €1k p.m accommodation allowance
