About Senior Planning Engineers

A role as a Senior Planning Engineer is a great first step onto the management ladder for a role in the construction sector.

Senior Planning Engineers or ‘Senior Planners’ are sought after by main contractors to establish procedures and systems for scheduling, monitoring project progress, and planning resources. Likewise, construction consultants utilise Senior Planning Engineers’ experience to scrutinise the contractor’s schedule and analyse where delays may occur.

Senior Planning Engineers are involved on projects across various sectors in the construction industry; including, but not limited to, Civil & Building Engineering, Property Development and MEP works.

Typically, a Senior Planning Engineer will be based on-site and will have up to 10 years experience. The best engineers will use this experience to mentor and develop more junior members in their planning team; demonstrating to senior management that they have the capability to progress into a Planning Manager or similar position.

There is significant demand for high calibre Senior Planning Engineers who can act as a bridge between planning management and the rest of the planning team. We have vacancies for projects across MENA, Hong Kong and several locations around Asia, as well as the UK.
