Planning Engineer
Brilliant opportunity in the construction sector overseas. Our client, a construction company in Hong Kong, has secured a major contract on the Hong Kong Airport, and they are looking to hire an experienced and reliable Hong Kong-based Planning Engineer. Prior experience with airports or other major public facilities infrastructure would be preferable.
Project Details
You will be based in the office at the Hong Kong Airport working on the specialist intelligent airfield lighting project.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Liaising with surveyors, engineers, and architects
- Reporting to the Planning Manager regarding progress reports and forecasts, status updates etc.
- Using project management tools to monitor progress and ensure the contract milestones are reached
- Supervising and studying problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities and recommend alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion
Desired Skills and Experience
- The candidate must hold permanent HKID
- The client will consider candidates with 5-15 years of experience in planning and scheduling, preferably on building projects
- Required proven experience in planning and programming of civil and building works
- M&E experience desired but not essential
- Proficiency in project management software tools, particularly P6
- Strong communication skills in English both written and spoken, at least C1 level
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline or any other relevant diploma
