Loan Monitoring Surveyor Opportunities in Canada

Loan Monitoring Surveying, also referred to as Bank Monitoring is an increasingly common and increasingly indispensable service offered by many Cost Consulting practices in Canada to developers and banks/funders. When it comes to large-scale construction projects and other real estate developments in Canada, financing obviously plays an important role.

The role of a loan monitoring surveyor is to ensure that the funds are distributed and managed efficiently. By overseeing critical aspects of the construction process, Loan monitoring surveyors contribute to the success of construction projects, which benefits lenders, borrowers and the entire construction industry in Canada.

Maxim Recruitment is a proud supplier of many large, international, and smaller, niche Cost and Project management Consultancies in Canada. They provide loan monitoring services to a wide range of clients such as lenders, banks, owners, investors and developers.

We currently have Loan Monitoring Surveyor opportunities in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Victoria and Montreal. These positions are live now, and employers are looking for suitable candidates who would be available to start with them as soon as possible. Suitable applicants will need to be eligible to work in Canada without employers' support, meaning that they either have to be citizens, have a permanent residency, valid VISA or Work permit secured.

Specific previous loan monitoring experience is not essential, however, experience working in Canada and knowledge of Canadian construction standards is preferred. Ideally, candidates will come from a Professional Quantity Surveying or similar background that will allow them to understand the loan monitoring role.

Loan Monitoring Surveyors essentially act as a bridge between lenders, borrowers, and construction teams. They visit construction sites and prepare detailed reports on progress, analysis and compliance. Effective communication and writing skills in this role are key.

Common qualifications in this field are MRICS Qualification with The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or PQS status with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. This demonstrates the highest level of standards and knowledge of construction methods and delivery, economics and the laws relating to construction projects. If you are not already qualified, private cost consulting firms can help you with getting the right experience to achieve this.

Loan Monitoring Surveyor jobs in Canada are attractive career opportunities for Quantity Surveyors and Cost Managers who are interested in trying out a different role outside of traditional Quantity Surveying. Besides that, the Loan Monitoring Surveyor jobs that I am working on provide a good remuneration package with career development opportunities.

Maxim Recruitment continues to provide the Canadian construction industry with high-quality candidates across the building and civil engineering sectors. We offer our premium candidates a variety of high-calibre construction job opportunities with great benefits. You can browse a variety of our jobs in Canada here.
