Associate Director MEP Quantity Surveying

Construction careers and prospects are growing in Hong Kong as an excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly capable, self sufficient Associate Director MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a leading international cost management practice to provide cost and commercial management support and advice on multiple projects based in Hong Kong. 

Project Details

Reporting to the regional MD, you will be based in our client's HQ in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong and manage the delivery of multiple MEP cost management commissions, providing cost management and commercial management support with your team to multiple clients in Hong Kong and across Asia. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Reporting to Directors in local office.
• Develop business opportunities within the local market.
• Manage existing client base via contacts made on existing projects.
• Manage the day to day operations of the team under his / her direct control in local office.
• Assist in advising the Director/Deputy Director in relation to succession planning, development and training of personnel.
• Ensure provision of services adheres to Consultancy Agreement and to Client’s satisfaction. 
• Provide sound financial management i.e. Fee vs Cost/Resource
• Advise Client of additional services and secure appropriate fees
• Timely invoicing and debt collection.
• Brief, direct and supervise project personnel under his / her direct control in local office

Desired Skills and Experience

• 10+ years post-qualification experience or 15+ years experience in building services or engineering projects in professional QS consultancy firm or building contractor.
• Fully experienced in the provision of core MEP QS services from feasibility / concept through to finalization of accounts and DLP admin.
• Fully experienced in the use of all major forms of contract.
• Experienced, in the provision of some specialist services (i.e. life cycle costing, sustainability, risk analysis etc). 
• Possess excellent communication skill and strong interpersonal skill and able to interact effectively with external parties

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Masters and or Degree majoring in Building Services Engineering or Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar.
• Member of a relevant professional association with 15+ years experience is preferred
