Assistant Fit Out Manager

One of the most exciting project management jobs in Hong Kong. A highly regarded main contractor is looking to appoint a self starting, energetic and forward thinking Contractor Side Assistant Fit Out Manager to manage the successful and safe delivery of mega fit out and ABWF works at the new HK Airport project.  

Project Details

You will stationed in the client's project site office at HK Airport.  

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide strong support to Project Coordinators in individual trades and help them problem solve routes to complicated design, material, subcontracts issues.
• Have a presence in the Employers meetings.
• Coordinate with E&M, RC, Steelworks, Facade, other Contractors in design, construction sequence, logistic plans

Desired Skills and Experience

• 10-15 years relevant site experience
• Demonstrable experience in projects related to HKAA, MTRC, HK Government’s projects ABWF and fit out
• Deep understanding of ABWF e.g. E&M, Steel works, facade. 
• Technical master in ABWF who understands ABWF construction detail design, ABWF materials, British and Hong Kong codes and standards 
• Strong on Fire Engineering - fire barrier, smoke barrier, smoke curtain, shutters,
• Strong on fundamental structural engineering, fitting out, metal works, doors and ironmongeries, wet trades,
• Strong on construction access and lifting plants, material and logistic plans
• Strong on finishes protection, inspection standards and process, factory management, BIM models, shop drawing process, BD submission and supervision requirements. 
• Understands contracts, and subcontracts, can cooperate with front line to collect information, and deeply cooperate with QS team.
• Be extremely proactive.
• Very hands on with FSI, OP experience can prepare related documents.
• Can assess the current subcontract’s progress status and progress, who can track subcontractors’ submission, construction progress to provide any office or paper-work related subcontract’s management.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline.  Site experience is more important
