Assistant Director QS Services Lead

Exciting opportunity for anyone looking for a new job in construction industry. Our client, an international construction and property consultancy have a number of client side project management jobs. They are looking to appoint suitably qualified candidates for Assistant Director QS Services Lead to be seconded to their financial client and take on central coordination and strategy for their client's QS services, side by side with the PMO team. This would be based from HK and coordinating work out of HK (50%), China (25%), India (15%) and Australia (10%). The local teams would service the work so this is all about the coordination and strategy.

Project Details

Based in Hong Kong office but probably a lot of time spent in client office

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead and coordinate the Client's QS services with the PMO team
• Devise and coordinate the implementation of strategies
• Due diligence, trouble shooting, helping clients with global roll outs
• Manage capex projects, portfolio programme and project management
• Client stakeholder management 
• workplace contracts and project management 

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience within financial sector, corporate real estate; or programme management office
• Strong QS background (and possibly QS with PM experience)
• Good communicator
• Client facing at C-suite level;
• IT savvy
• Confident enough to push our own designated Country Directors to deliver to schedule and scope
• Confident enough to push additions to fee where the service is out of scope.
• Understands construction and materials procurement and how to utilise those to drive value
• Willing to challenge and review incumbent processes (without making enemies in the team) to drive value

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or property related subject
• Chartered professional is preferred.
