Senior Quantity Surveyor MEP

A Quantity Surveyor at capable of working at a senior level and managing a multinational commercial team is required to join the MEP division of a leading British ran main contractor operating in Doha, Qatar.

Project Details

The successful candidate will work for a successful MEP specialist, capable of delivering work across a range of projects. All work will be based within Qatar and can vary from specialist electrical, mechanical, fire protection, fast track MEP fit-out and more.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will operate in a mid management role, reporting to the Commercial Manager. In this role, you will be expected to run / oversee multiple projects at any one time that may be at varying stages of their life cycle, from pre -contract through to closing final accounts.

Desired Skills and Experience

•  Candidates should have some exposure to working specifically for MEP contractor s / sub-contractors. Or have experience performing as a QS on specific MEP packages for a main contractor.
•  Experience of preparing budgets, forecasting and preparing reports for management is essential
•  Capability to manage a multicultural workforce of up to 5 staff.
•  Experience o using CCS (Candy Post Contract Software) would be an advantage but not necessarily essential
•  Experience of using COINS ERP software is also an advantage but not essential
•  Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage, however not essential.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

•  Degree qualified (or similar equivalent qualification) in Quantity Surveying or another relevant subject
