A Senior Quantity Surveyor is being sought by a leading UK Main Contractor to join their office in Nottingham. The successful candidate will work on multiple build projects, valued in excess of £20m! Could this be an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills?
Project Details
The successful candidate will deal with the commercial aspects of multiple build projects in Nottinghamshire. Each project will have an overall value of £20m+
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, and will have Assistant Quantity Surveyors reporting to you. You will be expected to complete a full spectrum of Quantity Surveying duties including, but not limited to:
- Contract administration
- Subcontractor management
- Conducting valuations
- Conducting measurements
- Cost value reconciliations
- Change schedule management
- Variations (compensation/ additional time/ additional works)
- Pricing compensation
- Client liaison management
- Preparation of claims
- Preparation of final Accounts
- Issuing Interim payments certificates
Desired Skills and Experience
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Previous experience working on projects in excess of £20m is essential
- IT literate
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Excellent contractual knowledge
- Highly motivated
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
A degree or similar equivalent in Quantity Surveying or other relevant discipline is essential
