Senior Quantity Surveyor
A Tier 1 main contractor is looking to hire a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a £40m University project in Northampton. The successful candidate will work for an industry leading main contractor on exciting projects within their regional business which covers Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.

The project is a £40m project situated within a University in Northampton.
Responsibilities and Duties
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work in an important mid-management role on this large project.
You will be expected to:
- Managing Sub-contractors
- Dealing with Variations
- Contract Administration
- Monitoring costs on the project
- Reporting progress to senior management
- Regularly meeting with the client to provide updates
- Attending and being a senior figure in meeting with internal and external staff
- Managing junior members of staff
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- A strong main contractor background with reputable main contractor
- A bias towards working on multi-million pound developments in the built environment
- CV demonstrating clear and stable career progression as a Quantity Surveyor
- Prior experience of being the lead QS on a reasonably sized project or as a QS managing packages on a large project is desired
- Excellent written and verbal English is essential
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
Candidates should be qualified to degree level or a similar equivalent level
