Senior Quantity Surveyor

A Project Quantity Surveyor is required to work for a main contractor operating in the built environment within London.

This is a great opportunity to work for a reputable main contractor on high end projects typically in the residential and commercial sectors. The hiring company have a prestigious client base and work on exciting high end new build and refurbishment projects typically within the central London area.

Project Details

Typical projects will include new build and refurbishment projects valued between £5m - £15m inside the central London area. These will most often exciting, luxurious projects with high quality finishes.  Specific projects that need Project Quantity Surveyors at present are located in the Pall Mall and Mayfair areas of London.

Responsibilities and Duties

As Project Quantity Surveyor within the business, you will report to the Commercial Manager of the business and you will be responsible for commercially managing one or more projects (dependant on size and complexity). Typical Duties will include:

•  Managing the Assistant level Quantity Surveyor(s) on project(s)
• Producing regular valuations and reporting accordingly
• Cost value reconciliations
• Managing frequent variations
• Accurately keeping records to ensure the company is protected against contractual notices Producing contractual notices where applicable
•  valuating and managing sub contractor payments
•  Procurement

Desired Skills and Experience

• Candidates must be evidently capable of managing projects in the region of £10m - £15m
• Knowledge and experience of using JCT form of contract is required
• Candidates should ideally have experience of working on high end, luxurious projects   
• Candidates should have predominantly worked for reputable main or sub contractors previously

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Candidates must be Degree Qualified or hold a similar equivalent qualifications
• Candidates who hold a valid CSCS card are desired although this is not essential
