Senior Quantity Surveyor

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to join a leading contracting company in Hong Kong. This is a site based role working on an existing project and you will report to the Commercial Manager.

Project Details

A large scale civil engineering project with a number of years left until project completion.

Responsibilities and Duties

•  Ensure that project costs are in line with forecasts and within budget
•  Generate internal and external reports - Provide regular financial progress reports to the Commercial Manager
•  Provide commercial support and advice to other project departments
•  Contract administration of sub-contractors and suppliers
•  Handle variations and claims related issues
•  Attend project meetings when required

Desired Skills and Experience

•  The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in Hong Kong
•  Experience working on large scale HK$billion civil engineering projects is an advantage
•  Excellent communication skills in Cantonese and English
•  Good knowledge of I.T. systems
•  Experience of supervising junior staff is an advantage

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

•  Degree or Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
•  Chartered status such as MRICS is an advantage but not essential
