An exciting opportunity has arisen for Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in MTR projects to work for a well established contractor on a large Civil Engineering MTR project. You will be part of the site based team and will report to the Commercial/Claims Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Help produce claims for claims to be submitted to the client
• Take a lead role in EOT/Disruption/Claims work
• Undertake role of cost expert to produce costing reports, claims for extension of time and reimbursements of additional costs.
• Give commercial advice when needed
• Produce accurate and timely reports for your area of responsibility
• Mentor and supervise junior QS staff

Desired Skills and Experience

• Good experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor with a Contractor in Hong Kong
• Claims experience is an advantage
• Strong contractual knowledge and experience
• Excellent English and Cantonese language skills both written and verbal are essential
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Professional membership is desired i.e. MRICS, MHKIS
