As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the employer’s leadership team, contributing both strategic insight and hands-on expertise. You will work closely to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities and Duties
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be tasked with providing comprehensive quantity surveying services on a range of projects, from initial feasibility studies right through to final account agreement.
- Managing all aspects of cost planning, cost control, and value engineering to ensure projects are delivered within budget and maximise value for our clients.
- Preparing tender documents, bills of quantities, and contract documentation.
- Leading on contract administration, change control, and managing claims and variations.
- Conducting regular site visits and attending project meetings to monitor progress, value completed work and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team, sharing your knowledge and helping to build our future talent.
- Building and nurturing positive relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to drive collaborative project delivery.
- Contributing to business development activities, supporting the preparation of bids and proposals, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Assisting in the development of company policies, best practice standards, and new service offerings.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be selected as our new Senior Quantity Surveyor, we will need to see previous experience as a Senior/ Associate Quantity Surveyor, with you having gained significant exposure to a range of projects and contract types. In addition, we are looking for:
- In-depth knowledge of cost management, commercial management, procurement, and contract administration.
- Able to both undertake and supervise traditional QS/PQS duties to include take offs, measurement and to undertake both pre and post contract Quantity Surveying tasks
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- A passion for continuous learning and personal development.
IDEALLY ALSO TO HAVE:
- Previous experience in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Track record of mentoring or managing junior team members.
- A network of industry contacts and a proven ability to win repeat business from clients.
- Experience working within a growing or ambitious business environment.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor status (or close to achieving it)
