Senior Quantity Surveyor
A Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to work for a Dubai based, British owned PQS. The role has become available due to a recent departure and the successful replacement will work as the lead Quantity Surveyor on an in-house assignment for a major Dubai developer, providing pre-contract advise on all upcoming projects.
Project Details
You will provide costs and generally give advice to the client on pre-contract issues for all future projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
In this role, you will act as the lead Quantity Surveyor mentoring a junior Quantity Surveyor to provide assistance to the client on various pre-contract issues.
Specific tasks will include:
- Estimating
- Procurement of contractors
- Tender evaluation
- Cost Planning
- Feasibility Studies
Desired Skills and Experience
- Candidates will have strong pre-contract experience working for either a consultancy or directly for a client organisation
- Exposure to projects within the built environment is desired. Particularly those in the leisure & entertainment sector are preferred. Including Hotels, shopping malls, theme park related works etc.
- Candidates will need extremeely strong client facing skills
- Candidates will need to be able to take rough designs with very little detail and use their experience to provide accurate costs for such developments from concept stage
- Candidates must have previous experience working in the Middle East region
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Candidates must hold a degree qualification or similar equivalent
- Due to gaining client approval for this role, candidates must have at least 14 years post graduate experience
