Senior Quantity Surveyor
Project Details
You will be a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor, running projects in the commercial office and residential sector between £20m - £40m as the key client interface. Clients will include top 10 developers.
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties will include (not limited to):
- Acting as the key client interface
- Act as the commercial lead on projects during the full project life cycle
- Assist in the business development aspects of the role, representing the company as a whole
- Manage more junior members of staff when required
- Review the preparation of cost plans
- Manage tender reviews and sign off
- Preparation of recommendations for the award for contractor packages
- Ensuring that post-contract variances and change control processes are managed effectively
- Helping to ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed
- Take a key role in interfacing with consultants of all disciplines
- Manage claims effectively
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the built environment is essential, preferably in the commercial or residential sector
- Some experience working for a consultancy organisation
- Pre and Post contract experience is desired as a Quantity Surveyor
- JCT contract experience
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in construction related discipline is strongly desired
- Chartered Member of the RICS or CIOB
