Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a construction consultancy in central Birmingham. You will take the lead on higher education projects of circa £10m-£20m in value, using the JCT form of contract. You should be an enthusiastic Senior Quantity Surveyor with client facing experience, who wants to progress within a renowned consultancy.
Project Details
You will be the Senior Quantity Surveyor on higher education projects. Project values will vary but will predominantly be between £10m-£20m in value, and include new builds and refurbishments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Pre and Post Contract management inclusive of procurement
- Project profitability control
- Client management
- Contract management and assist in any claims that arise
- Bills of Quantities
- Act professionally at all times as the face of the company and assist in business growth where possible
- Act as the commission lead on projects taking full ownership and responsibility
- Final Account negotiation
- Assist in the development of junior staff members, aiding them (like yourself) to become future leaders of the business
Desired Skills and Experience
- Client interfacing experience
- Experience managing projects as the lead QS
- Full project life cycle experience
- Consultancy experience
- Experience on education projects is preferred, however any built environment experience is a positive

Member of the RICS
