A Senior Quantity Surveyor is being sought by a top tier main contractor in Birmingham to work on multiple exciting new build projects valued from £5m-£40m!

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be commercially responsible for projects and will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. You will be expected to complete a multitude of Quantity Surveying tasks including, but not limited to:

• Contract administration
• Subcontractor management
• Establish and maintain a strong relationship with clients
• Assisting and liaising with the customers on materials and buying opportunities
• Aid the Contracts Manager with regards to the sub-contractor selection process
• Conducting valuations - Cost value reconciliations
• Change schedule management
• Variations (compensation/additional time/ additional works)
• Pricing compensation
• Client liaison management
• Preparation of final accounts
• Issuing Interim payments certificates

Desired Skills and Experience

• Excellent knowledge of the construction industry
• Experience of working on new build projects valued in excess of £5m
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• IT literate
• Familiarity with NEC, JCT and Bespoke forms of contract
• Experience working for a top tier main contractor
• Excellent verbal, written and mathematical skills
• Able to use own initiative

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree or similar equivalent in Quantity Surveying is desirable

Additional Benefits Package and Incentives

£40k-£50k per annum + benefits
