Senior Pre Contract Quantity Surveyor
Pre contract Quantity Surveyors are needed at Junior Cost Consultant, Intermediate Cost Consultant and Senior Cost Consultant level in a number of client offices in Ottawa, Hamilton and Toronto. Work includes building and civil engineering infrastructure work including hospitals and airport work.

The Senior Pre Contract Quantity Surveyor job role is to work in a team to manage Junior Cost Consultants and Intermediate Cost Consultant colleagues to prepare cost estimates for a variety of projects including building and civil engineering infrastructure work including hospitals and airport work.
Responsibilities and Duties
Pre contract cost estimates relating to a variety of building and civil engineering construction works at design phase. With experience of the theory and practice of pre contract cost planning, and of the management of hands on colleagues, you will supervise and train and progress junior staff. You will work under the guidance of the office or regional manager to produce robust cost plans in a cost and time efficient way. You will take responsibility for client account management and satisfaction and have a role in business management and business development. With regular reviews, your work will be rewarded and a promotion plan will be available to you.
Desired Skills and Experience
Canadian construction cost or time planning experience preferred although international PQS/cost planning experience considered. Experience of managing PQS/cost planning staff is needed. Knowledge of architectural, structural and civil disciplines desired with experience of a number of building and civil sectors advantageous.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
A post-secondary diploma or degree in Architectural Science, Construction Engineering, or an area relating to construction and ideally cost or time management desirable. Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors – Professional Quantity Surveyor, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors – Member, Professional Engineer, or another similar accreditation is desirable.
