Senior Estimator
A Senior Estimator is required to work for a leading regional main contractor based out of their Lincoln office.
The successful candidate will join an established main contractor who operate within the built environment.
Project Details
The hiring company operate within the built environment with the construction industry. They have the capability to carry out projects across a wide range of sectors within the built environment, including:
- Retail
- Residential
- Healthcare
- Education
- As well as other specialist projects
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will play an integral part within the pre-contract team and manage the businesses bid process for projects. You will be responsible for managing the supply chain and procurement process in order to lower costs and ensure that bids are as competitive as possible.
- Preparing bids
- Heavily contribute towards the businesses commercial and procurement strategy
- Negotiate rates with suppliers
- Assessing and advising on risks
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Value Engineering
- Reviewing tender documents
Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working for a reputable main contractor in a senior level estimating role
- Knowledge and experience of a wide variety of building projects
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Ability to work to difficult time constraints
- Ability to set own objectives and designate work and objectives for junior members of staff
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- A formal qualification in a relevant subject is desired.
