Senior Design Engineer
Exciting opportunity in the Hong Kong construction jobs sector. Our client, a top-tier Hong Kong-based construction and engineering contractor, is looking to hire an energetic Senior Design Engineer with tunnel experience to work on a major tunneling project in Hong Kong.
Project Details
As the Project's Senior Design Engineer, you will be working on site on Lantau Island in the New Territories.
Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for design of tunnel lining and internal structures, earth lateral support; ELS for deep excavation and building structure
- Coordinate with design consultants and government authorities in terms of design submission and approval
- Tackle the challenges of fast track design process in construction works
- Carry out design for temporary structures such as false work design, steel frames, steel and RC slabs, temporary platform, lifting frames, formworks, ELS for drainage installation, foundation design for supporting temporary structures
- Prepare and submit documentation for temporary work design and liaison with design consultants, independent checkers and engineer’s site representative
- Able to manage interface coordination and interface meetings including design and production issues
Desired Skills and Experience
- 4-5 years relevant engineering experience
- Familiar with using computer software to carry out structural design
- Good communication skills in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Eager to learn and self-motivated
- Independent, able to work with limited supervision
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline
- Preferable MHKIE
