Responsibilities and Duties
- advise on contractual, commercial & claims management and provide Expert Witness work for contractors
- assist on dispute resolution and claims planning matters
- assist with construction scheduling, delay and disruption analysis
- preparation of counterclaims and advise on retrospective analysis for EOTs, prolongation costs, disruption, programme critiques and delay analysis critiques
- expected to participate in business development of new work with both existing and new clients
Desired Skills and Experience
- experience gained in a consultancy or end user environment although contractor experience is acceptable if gained on major projects in a demanding and structured environment
- 10 – 15 years of experience in contractual, commercial and claims work
- Stable and progressive employment history working for a reputable employer for continuous periods is required
- Fluent in English; Cantonese or Mandarin language skills are desirable but not necessary
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- UK Degree holder of Quantity Surveying preferred but not essential
- LLB or MCIArb or MRICS or HKIS or ICE or similar qualifications are strongly desirable
