Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the estimating function with asset specific, estimates, cost data and benchmarking
- Review quality, robustness and accuracy of deliverables produced by external parties to improve the reliability of information
- Advise the most appropriate way, in the area of procurement/ contract/ tendering/ package strategies to run efficiently
- Prepare and share internal reporting with other departments
- Manage the appointment and performance of QS consultants and contractors where needed
- Prepare and review budget estimations for projects and provide indication of outturn cost
- Rreview funding approval papers to secure investment when required
- Set up and maintain cost data analysis and benchmarking and information related to Life Cycle Costing
- Advise on strategies and ways of procuring projects
Desired Skills and Experience
- 7+ years relevant experience, preferably with hands-on experience in dealing with clients, consultants or contractors
- Demonstrable track record in working on major projects/ programmes of work
- Knowledge and access to the leading construction and property practices across a range of asset types
- Good command of verbal and written English and Chinese. Mandarin is an advantage
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Professional qualification such as HKIS, RICS is desirable
