An excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor has arisen to work on exciting rail projects out of a York office of a global construction consultancy.

Project Details

You will be a Quantity Surveyor working on exciting rail projects throughout the UK from a York office.

Responsibilities and Duties

-  Being commercially responsible for certain packages from the client side
- Assessing, understanding, and assisting in the delivery of post contract services as a Quantity Surveyor
- Management of contracts from the client side
- Managing variations and working on claim assessments, assessing claim submittals where necessary
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Cost reporting
- Progress meetings and performance monitoring
- Mentoring of trainee quantity surveyors where required

Desired Skills and Experience

- Experience in the rail or civils sector as Quantity Surveyor
- Experience working for a consultancy is ideal however main contractor experience is also considered

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

- Degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar is required
- MRICS is preferred or on route to completing
