Quantity Surveyor

A Quantity Surveyor is required in Central London, for a new build £multi-billion highways construction project. As Quantity Surveyor, you will play an integral role in the design and estimating stage, before moving onto the procurement of the first phase. You will be a Quantity Surveyor within a global construction consultancy with unrivalled career progression, on major projects

Project Details

You will be a Quantity Surveyor on the design and estimating stage of a £multi-billion new build highways project. Your role will continue into first phase procurement and post contract Quantity Surveying duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Act as Quantity Surveyor, initially on the design and estimating stage of the project
- Landmarking of the design contractor
- Payments and change
- Procurement of the first phase
- Utilising expert commercial strategy
- Post contract variations
- Work closely with the Project Management teams
- Attend client and contractor meetings with the Commercial Lead
- Perform within part of a wider team

Desired Skills and Experience

- NEC contract experience is strongly preferred, or strong experience of other contracts to show the ability to diversify into using the NEC  such as FIDIC or IChemE
- Experience on civils and infrastructure sector projects is essential
- Experience working on the Consultancy, Main Contracting or Client Side are all considered

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

- MRICS is strongly preferred or working towards
- Degree qualified
