Quantity Surveyor

A Quantity Surveyor is required to join a fantastic construction consultancy in Brighton, working on a variety of projects in the built environment. You will initially be supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyors on exciting projects with the opportunity to manage your own projects once you learn the company systems and procedures.

Project Details

You will be working on a variety of projects including a major £250m mixed use scheme on the south coast of Sussex, university projects, and more.

Responsibilities and Duties

•  Preparation of tender reports as Quantity Surveyor - Analysis, evaluation/assessment of tender reports
•  Negotiation and contract formulation
•  Preparation of cost plans
•  Handling post tender qualification documents & procedures
•  Preparation of recommendations for award of contractor packages
•  Attending meetings with clients

Desired Skills and Experience

•  Experience in the built environment is essential
•  Strong interpersonal skills are desired for the successful candidate
•  Consultancy experience is required for this role
•  Experience in mixed – use, retail, accommodation, and education projects are all beneficial

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

•  Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying is desired
•  Full Member of RICS is desired, or on route to completing
