Quantity Surveyor

A fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor has come up to work on a major rail framework. You must have experience in auditing and experience on rail / civils projects.

Project Details

You will be a Quantity Surveyor on a major rail framework. The office base will be in Birmingham.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Cost Assurance on the major rail programme
-  Being commercially responsible for projects
- Assessing, understanding, and assisting in the delivery of pre and post contract services as the Quantity Surveyor
- Managing contracts from the client side
- Managing Main Contractors on site
- Assessing variations and working on claim assessments, defending contractor claims where necessary
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Cost reporting
- Progress meetings and performance monitoring

Desired Skills and Experience

- Experience in the rail or civils sectors as a Quantity Surveyor
- Auditing experience

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

- Degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar is desired
- Working towards MRICS or MCICES Memberships is preferred, or willingness to undertake
