Quantity Surveyor
Project Details
You will be a Quantity Surveyor working on a £multi-billion highly prestigious rail project.
Responsibilities and Duties
• You will ensure that client objectives are met through the delivery of a premium cost management service.
• You will be managing the commercial activities on major work-streams, projects and programmes to deliver commercial control.
• Planning, delivery and management of procurement activities to deliver contracts and frameworks.
• Estimating and cost planning
• Assist in the management of construction, engineering, supply and service contracts.
• Formulation of negotiation parameters, analysis and interpretation of commercial data to enable successful negotiation.
• Identifying and assessing potential risks to commercial agreements and supplier performance.
• Working within a team of commercial staff
Desired Skills and Experience
- Rail sector background as a Quantity Surveyor is a must
- Consultancy background is preferred though Main Contractor background is also considered
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or similar is desired
- On route to attaining RICS Membership is desired
