Junior Quantity Surveyor
A new Junior Quantity Surveyor with a multidisciplinary consultancy in Vancouver, British Columbia.
This role will involve cost management and estimating job duties.

Project Details
Junior Quantity Surveyor will be preparing construction cost estimates at various design and construction stages for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects.
Ideal Junior Quantity Surveyor candidate will be qualified, or actively working toward qualification, as
Professional Quantity Surveyors by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and/or members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and have at least 3 years of relevant Canadian construction cost planning and control experience.
Hybrid and remote working arrangements are available.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparation of construction cost estimates at various design and construction stages
- Architectural and structural quantity take-off
- Co-ordinating with the activities of other estimators working on specific assignments under the supervision of a Senior Cost Planner
- Must be proficient and self-sufficient with all of our computer assisted estimating tools.
- Provide pro-active cost management advise and ensure the Clients understand the content of our reports
- Preparation of estimates in accordance with the CIQS elemental format and, where required, divisional trade format
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager, Estimator or similar in the construction discipline. Canadian experience preferred.
- Previous Canadian experience preferred
- Knowledge and basic understanding of the construction Canadas’s industry and construction processes
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office 360 e.g. Word, Outlook & Excel.
- Great Communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ambition and character to grow professionally and personally with the business
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent to any of the following, Quantity Surveying, Construction, and Structural and Civil Engineering
- Working towards Professional membership of the CIQA, PQS, RICS
