Junior Pre Contract Quantity Surveyor
Pre contract Quantity Surveyors are needed at Junior Cost Consultant, Intermediate Cost Consultant and Senior Cost Consultant level in a number of client offices in Ottawa, Hamilton and Toronto. Work includes building and civil engineering infrastructure work including hospitals and airport work.

The Junior Pre Contract Quantity Surveyor job role is to work in a team with Intermediate Cost Consultant and Senior Cost Consultant colleagues to provide cost estimates for a variety of projects including building and civil engineering infrastructure work including hospitals and airport work.
Responsibilities and Duties
Pre contract cost estimates relating to a variety of building and civil engineering construction works at design phase.
With your basic experience of the theory and practice of pre contract cost planning, you will work under the guidance of intermediate and senior Quantity Surveying colleagues to produce robust cost plans. With regular reviews, your work will be rewarded and a promotion plan will be available to you.
Desired Skills and Experience
Canadian construction cost or time planning experience preferred although international PQS/cost planning experience considered. Knowledge of architectural, structural and civil disciplines desired with experience of a number of building and civil sectors advantageous
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
A post-secondary diploma or degree in Architectural Science, Construction Engineering, or an area relating to construction and ideally cost or time management desirable. Demonstrable ambition to achieve an applicable designation such as Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors – Professional Quantity Surveyor, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors – Member, Professional Engineer, or another similar accreditation is desirable
