Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities and Duties

This is an exciting role for an up and coming Quantity Surveyor with post graduate experience who is looking to progress in their career with a growing reputable Main Contractor. The company have a good track record of maintaining a low employee turnover rate. Projects you will be involved in will be up to and over £10m in value. Depending on experience you could be responsible for your own projects as well as working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Job duties will include (not limited to):

• Take commercial responsibility with the Senior Quantity Surveyor for all aspects of projects
• Create and update life-cycle costing
• Liaise with stakeholders
• Variations in costs on the project
• Cost reporting and payments through to final account
• Work autonomously as well as in a team when required
• Build and maintain relationships
• Conduct client meetings

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience in the retail sector as a Quantity Surveyor
• Main contracting experience is desired but not absolutely essential

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Quantity Surveying qualification or similar is desired but not essential

You will be joining a Main Contractor who are based out of Lutterworth in Leicestershire, who work on retail projects in the UK and also in America for major brand names. They are a growing company and support staff who want to progress quickly into more senior positions. They have a current turnover of circa £20m and growing.
