Inspector

An exciting role exists as an Inspector & Load Tester for a specialist, market leading Load Testing company based out of North Nottingham. This position would suit someone with a history of working at heights and is qualified with the Lifting Engineers Equipment Association (LEEA). The successful candidate will join a team of inspectors and travel around the UK conduction inspections and testing lifting eyes & lifting beams in lift shafts.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will work as part of a 2 man team carrying out inspections and testing lift equipment. Projects can be nationwide with a high frequency of work in London. This work will also often require some minor installation work.

This is not a 9 – 5 job and candidates should be aware of that before applying. Some days, you may leave the office in the early hours of the morning and not return until late evening. Whereas other days you may be finished by lunchtime. The team typically meets in North Nottingham before travelling to site, therefore the ability to travel to North Nottingham daily is essential.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Similar employment history such as eye bolt tester/abseil point tester, safety background, working at heights, lifting equipment inspector would be advantageous
- Reliable individual
- Candidates must be capable of lifting reasonably heavy equipment

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

- LEEA qualification Part 1 & Part 2 specifically in Ruway & Crane Structures OR General Lifting Equipment is essential
- CSCS Card is desired
- An engineering/fabrication/fitter/tool maker qualification also a big advantage but not essential
- Must have full driving licence

Additional Benefits Package and Incentives

Basic Salary in the region of £24k - £26k
Overtime paid after 40 hours per week.  (Expected earnings in excess of £30k p/a)
