Employers Agent opportunity with a multidisciplinary consultancy in southeast London suited to ambitious and driven Intermediate Quantity Surveyor seeking a challenging role with a diverse range of projects.

Project Details

The project portfolio includes built environment schemes across housing, regeneration, education, commercial, care and health sectors. As an Employers Agent, you will be a part of a multi-skilled team, collaborating with internal and external partners.

This role involves both project management and employer's agent responsibilities, providing a well-rounded experience. You will be able to participate in training and mentorship activities to contribute to your professional growth.

You will be based in Southeast London, with flexibility work from home.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare budget estimates, cost planning, and manage tendering procedures and contract arrangements.
  • Create comprehensive tendering documents, evaluate tenders, and negotiate pricing.
  • Generate recommendations for interim payments, assess anticipated final costs, and manage variations as per contract terms.
  • Act as the lead consultant in administering projects on behalf of the client.
  • Attend and contribute to project/technical meetings, preparing and distributing minutes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project to develop and manage project schedules.
  • Oversee day-to-day project management and execution.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, assuming responsibility for project details and supporting project leads in delivering diverse contracts.
  • Confidence in dealing with JCT forms of contract; familiarity with NEC is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organisation skills to be able to organise and prioritise your workload.
  • Ability to sustain and grow client relationships.
  • Ambition and character to grow professionally and personally with the business.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office 360 e.g. Word, Outlook & Excel.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • A BS Hons degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying; APC qualification in progress or completed.
