Summary of Country Manager

A well-established consultancy with offices in the UK, South Africa and Hong Kong is currently expanding their Asian business, now actively looking for a Country Manager to set up and manage their business in Singapore. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee the business and management of the region
• Responsible for your own budget for the region
• Work winning will be one of your main areas of work through contacts already established by the company and also your own
• Oversee numerous staff and be responsible for the process of seconding these staff out to your key clients in the area
• Responsible for the recruitment of staff
• Responsible for the training and supervision of members of staff

Desired Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience in Singapore construction industry and knows the market well
• In depth knowledge and expert level of quantum/ delay claims management
• Experience as an expert on quantum and/or delay matters is essential.
• Sound commercial management experience in a senior position with contractor, employer or consultant in Singapore is essential
• Proven track record of managing a large team of staff/ used to run a business
• Proven track record of winning works
• Client facing, proactive and confident

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is essential
• FRICS qualified or equivalent is highly desirable
• Additional qualifications such as an MSc in construction Law or FCIArb would be an advantage
