My client, a global consulting firm is now building a Hong Kong Contract Services Team. They are now looking for a Junior Contract & Claims Consultant. Candidate with a few years claims experience are welcome to apply. It’s a Hong Kong based role with frequent travel across the global for exciting short term contract and claims assignments. Successful candidate must be flexible on travel. With support and shared connection and client’s bases from the Global CS team, the HK Contract Services team is well-connected to a global markets and clients. Successfully candidate will be able to get excellent international exposure.
Project Details
Multisector, cross border client and project assignments
Responsibilities and Duties
- To work in a team and provide contract services of the whole project life circle for the clients, duties include from the front end procurement, contract drafting, administration, risk management, to closing the final accounts, dispute resolution and claims management
- Travel to different locations across the globe for short term assignments.
Desired Skills and Experience
- At least 15 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying with 10+years on contract and claims works
- Main contractor/consultant/ client background
- Extensive claims experience on diversified projects
- Proven track record of large scale property/civil engineering/infrastructure/natural resources project experience
- Proven track record of managing claims assignments and deal with clients independently
- Client facing with good business/client contacts and proven ability to bring works in highly desired
- Able to lead a team of junior consultants and provide guidance and training
- Must be flexible on travelling
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or related discipline
- RICS/CIArb chartership
- Further education related to construction law and arbitration (LLB/MSc/Post grad dip)
