Commercial Manager

A Commercial Manager is required to join an international construction consultancy in Exeter, to work on Environmental Projects. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement experience with NEC3 contract knowledge, and be responsible for running the tendering process within a busy procurement team.

Project Details

Environmental (specifically flood defence) projects throughout the south west.

Responsibilities and Duties

Working closely with a Project Manager and others, you will advise and manage the procurement process necessary to manage commercial risk and employ suppliers to deliver the flood defence schemes. Reporting to a client Commercial Manager, you would be expected to deliver a rigorous procurement service with minimal supervision. Working in a team of procurement professionals, you would receive initial induction and introduction to the role and would then be supported by line management.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Strong Procurement experience
- NEC3 experience
- Quantity Surveying background
- Experience working in the infrastructure sector
- Strong experience with tenders

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

- MRICS, or MCInstCES
- Degree qualified
