As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team in Manila, Philippines.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Commercial Contracts Manager will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of contracts, tendering, and legal matters related to our renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and ideally experience in the renewable energies sector. 

• Contract Management: Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and administration of all commercial contracts related to renewable energy projects.
• Tendering Process: Lead the tendering process, including the development of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and selection of contractors and suppliers.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with relevant local, national, and international laws and regulations
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks, providing strategic advice to senior management and project teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Cost Control: Monitor project costs and implement strategies to optimize financial performance and ensure projects are completed within budget.
• Dispute Resolution: Manage any contract disputes or claims, working towards effective resolution in a timely manner.
• Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on contract status, project progress, and financial performance to senior management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, legal teams, and finance departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in contracts, tendering, and legal management on construction and engineering projects, preferably with some experience within the renewable energies sector.
• Fluent in Tagalog and proficient in English.
• Strong background in quantity surveying with relevant qualifications.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• In depth knowledge of contract law and relevant regulatory frameworks in the Philippines.
• Proven track record of managing complex contracts and projects successfully.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• High level of integrity and commitment to ethical practices.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• A recognized university degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Professional Accreditation; RICS Or similar.
