Assistant Quantity Surveyor
An Assistant Quantity Surveyor vacancy exists to join a leading UK main contractor carrying out projects within the built environment in the London area. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded, large main contractor with a group turnover in excess of £800m. The company itself are a multi disciplinary main contractors, however you will join the building division of the company and work and typically work on large scale projects in the built environment. This role would ideally suit a current Assistant QS who is maybe working for a smaller contractor and performing well, but would prefer to work for a larger, more structured business on more exciting projects.
Project Details
You can expect to be involved on large scale projects typically between £10m - £60m in the London area.
Responsibilities and Duties
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your role will be to support the QS and / or SQS on the project. You will provide day to day assistance a various tasks whilst being given responsibility for specific packages on the project.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Will have some experience working as a junior level Quantity Surveyor
- Have a good understanding of the basic QS duties such as measuring, issuing payments and general sub contractor management
- Ideally your previous experience will have been spent on building projects rather than civils / rail / utilities
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
Will be Degree qualified or hold a similar alternative qualification
